What is Gardenuity?
Gardenuity is an online custom garden kit company that delivers a truly personalized shopping and gardening experience. We customize the absolute best ingredients, in just the right amount for your container garden. Each garden kit includes: the reusable grow bag, custom compost, planting media, customized plant nutrients, and Grow Pro® guidance to help you throughout the season. Just add your plants or seeds and you are good to grow. After selecting your kit, you are presented with the plant options that will grow beautifully in your location. We only show you the plants or seeds that you will have success growing based on your climate right now. No more choosing the wrong plant at the wrong time.
How does it work?
Choose your kit first. Do you want our popular Signature Kit that provides a happy home for any of our herbs or veggies. Do you want a garden that says Salad Garden? Or would you prefer a garden that says Herb Garden or Cocktail Garden and is perfect for growing herbs. Select one of these, then, based on your zip code and current weather conditions, our patent-pending technology matches you with herb and vegetable plants and seeds that you will be able to successfully grow and harvest. Your garden kit + plants are then shipped directly to your doorstep. You are automatically enrolled in Grow Pro which provides growing support and weather alerts throughout the season.

How much does it cost?
The outdoor MoGrow garden kits are $39 plus the cost of the plants. Seeds and plants range from $6 - $38. The giftable garden kit is $52 and includes the cost of the plants. This kit includes a redemption code so that the recipient will get matched to their plants when they are ready to get growing. The grow bags and planting media are reusable from season to season, so refresher kits are $19 plus the cost of the plants.
Indoor herb kits are $28, with refresh options available from $8.
Where do the live plants ship from?
Our complete live plants arrive directly from our farm partners (no waiting or wilting in a warehouse somewhere). Make sure to unpack immediately on delivery.
What are seed squares?
Seed squares make gardening with seeds convenient, smart, and easy. In a seed square, organic seeds are strategically spaced and placed in organic biodegradable paper. Place the complete seed square sheet on top of the soil and water for 10-15 days — your garden will be off to a healthy start.
What’s included in my garden kits?
Your MoGrow garden kit will include pre-portioned soil, portable grow bag, custom foundation compost, soil primer, triple blend fertilizer, micro nutrients specifically formulated for the plants you select based on season and location, 30-day feedings, and personalized Grow Pro guidance and Weather Alerts. Kits are $39 plus the cost of the plants. The giftable garden kit is $52 and includes the cost of the plants. This kit includes a redemption code so that the recipient may choose their plants when they are ready to get growing. Refresher kits are $19 plus the cost of the plants.
Your InBox of Herb kit ships with a ready to enjoy, farm-started herb plant, bamboo planter, root boost, and a ten-day feeding. Plus, you’ll receive creative recipes from local chefs, mixologists, and food bloggers via email.
Subsequent herb orders ship with the plant, root boost, and a 10-day feeding. The cost of refresher herbs are $8.
How much space do I need for my MoGrow?
For veggies, all you need is approximately 2 square feet of outdoor space — a patio or balcony is perfect. For InBox of herbs, our bamboo planter boxes measure 5”x5”, so you only need a tabletop, countertop, or desktop to enjoy.
How often should I water my plant?
How much is too much or not enough water for your garden? There is a fine line between not enough water and too much water. When heat and hours of sunlight increase it's important to water consistently. In general, early morning or early evening is the optimal time to water your garden. This gives your plants time to absorb the water before the heat of the day kicks in and also allows excess water on the plant to evaporate quickly so your garden is not vulnerable to fungus.
When your soil is dry to the touch give your garden a drink. A good rule of thumb is to check the first inch or so of the soil and if it is dry you need to water. In the heat of the summer it is important to water every day. Always try to water your soil, not the leaves. See the video link below for more tips! Watch video.
Grow pro®
What is the Grow Pro membership?
Think of our Grow Pro partners as personal trainers but for gardening. The Grow Pro service's expertise is getting things to grow, and our partners are by your side whenever you need help. You’re automatically registered for our Grow Pro program when you order a MoGrow kit. Grow Pro partners will send you notifications via email about things like what to do during rough weather in your area and what you should expect during various stages of the growing process.
When does my Automatic Grow ProMembership begin?
Immediately. With the purchase of a Gardenuity garden you are automatically enrolled in Grow Pro. The Grow Pro membership is included in the price of each kit.
What is your guarantee?
We guarantee your plants will arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow. We even partner with FedEx and ship 2-day to ensure safe travels and healthy arrival. Make sure to unpack immediately on delivery.
What are weather notifications?
In the case of inclement weather (or any weather that could be hard on your plant), our Grow Pro partners will send you a notification about exactly what to do with your specific plant to avoid damage.
Deliveries, shipping & orders
When will I receive my order?
Orders with live plants ship directly from our farm partners (no waiting in a warehouse somewhere) and ship Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays via FedEx 2 day. Orders with only kits or organic seed squares ship in 1-2 business days via FedEx Express Saver. Read more...
How do returns work?
Email support@gardenuity.com to process a return or exchange. Note: depending on the day, it may take up to 48 hours to receive a response.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards. Please note online orders are executed with real-time credit card processing, and your card will be charged at the time you place your order.
Gifts
Sending a gift?
At checkout, you can click the box for gift or special request and include a note. We will happily enclose a personalized note to your gift recipient. If you think of it later, just send us a note to gifts@gardenuity.com, and we will happily adjust your order.
